What we do
Thenue is a Registered Social Landlord which means we are a "not for profit" landlord providing affordable housing to rent. We are registered with the Scottish Housing Regulator.
We own and manage housing in a number of communities across Glasgow: Bridgeton; Calton; Cranhill; Castlemilk; Dalmarnock and Blackhill and have some further propertiesscattered in other parts of Glasgow and the west of Scotland. Our stock is a mixture of new build houses and flats built between the late 1970’s and the present day, Victorian sandstone tenements including a few listed buildings and 1930’s ‘interwar’ flats.
We now own and/or manage over 3000 properties: 2,584 self-contained houses and flats to rent, 22 hostels and supported housing projects providing 145 bedspaces, around 80 shared ownership dwellings and we factor an additional 600.
Our registered office is at 423 London Road, Glasgow. We employ over 60 staff and have a turnover of around £9 million.
Thenue operates in a group structure. Thenue Housing Association, which owns the housing, is the parent body with charitable status. Thenue Housing Services Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary company through which non-charitable consultancy work and potentially other activities are channelled and there is also the Thenue Trust which aims to attract charitable resources for the communities where we work.
