CAREER AND JOBS ADVICE ON OFFER FROM THENUE

THENUE Housing is hosting a careers and jobs information day in the east end of the city next week.

The Local Employment Advisory Forum known as LEAF will be held on Tuesday April 29 at the Calton Heritage and Learning Centre on London Road adjacent to the Association’s offices.

Organised jointly with Thenue’s housing repairs contractor Mears it will feature a number of employers, takes place from 10 am to
3pm and is free of charge.

It is designed to offer ideas about career choices, give help updating a CV and help on finding out what skills are needed for specific jobs.

The overall aim is to provide practical advice and information to help you effectively apply for jobs.

Employers who will be represented include Mears, Police Scotland, Robertson Construction, Glasgow Kelvin College, Clyde Gateway, Jobs and Business Glasgow, and supermarket chain Morrisons who will be represented for part of the day

Thenue will also be providing information on its award-winning Learning Works initiative which helps long term unemployed people to gain new skills and improve their employability opportunities.
