Our Board of Management

Our Board of Management takes on the responsibility of running the Association’s affairs, but also plays an important role in developing our various communities.  It provides strategic leadership and monitors and evaluates the organisation’s business to achieve continued improvements for customers.

Members of the Board of Management are expected to:

  • Have an interest in making our communities better places to live
  • Keep up to date with Regulatory requirements and the legal framework surrounding housing
  • Keep up to date with the local operating environment
  • Attend training and keep knowledge current
  • Prepare for meetings, attend and contribute
  • Make informed decisions
  • Represent the organisation positively and effectively
  • Respect the confidentiality of Thenue's business
  • Work effectively with Thenue staff
  • Annually complete a declaration of interest return

LINDSAY FORREST

Board of Management, Chairperson

Joined November 2025

Lindsay has been appointed as Thenue Chair and has vast housing experience from both her employment as Investment Director with Partick Housing Association and previously as Chair of Maryhill Housing Association.

ANNE MCIVER

Board of Management, Vice-Chair

Joined September 2025

Anne has been a committed member of the Thenue Housing community for nearly 30 years. As a long-standing tenant, she brings valuable lived experience and a deep understanding of the needs and priorities of local residents.

Anne currently serves as Chair of the Cranhill Area Association, where she plays an active role in strengthening community engagement and supporting neighbourhood initiatives.

She rejoined the Thenue Board of Management in September 2025 and now holds the position of Vice Chair. Passionate about ensuring that tenants’ voices are heard at every level of decision-making, Anne is dedicated to promoting fairness, improving services, and helping shape the future direction of Thenue Housing.

DIANE MCCALLUM

Member of Audit and Risk Sub-Committee from December 2025.

Diane is a current tenant of Thenue Housing Association and supports her community through membership of the Bridgeton and Dalmarnock Area Association where she current serves as its Chair.

Ann McGuire

ANN MCGUIRE

Joined September 2025

Elected at our 2025 AGM, Ann brings a wealth of experience, ranging from her time on our Tenanty Scrutiny Panel, to being instrumental in forming and working within the Bridgeton & Dalmarnock Area Association.

SANDRA NOLAN
Joined September 2025
Sandra is one of the original Cranhill committee members and first became involved with the organisation approximately 30 years ago. She previously served on the Management Board for a number of years, stepping down for personal reasons before returning in September to help strengthen tenant representation on the Board.
Sandra is also Vice Chair of the local Cranhill Area Association, a role she has held for several years, and brings extensive community knowledge and long-standing commitment to the area. She is looking forward to once again contributing to the Management Board and working collaboratively with both existing and new members.

 

ANNE RAMSEY
Joined November 2025
Member of Audit and Risk Sub-Committee from December 2025.

Anne brings over 11 years of experience serving on the Board of Management of another RSL, where she held the positions of Vice Chair and Chair. Anne also holds the GoSHA qualification in Governance. Born and raised in the East End of Glasgow, Anne has a deep understanding of the community and the challenges it faces.

Anne retired following an extensive career in nursing, during which she managed care homes and developed strong leadership and organisational skills. Academically, Anne holds an HND in Personnel and a BSc in Quality Management and Business. In addition to Anne's board experience, she is an active member of the GWSF Support Panel and Mentoring Panel.

JANICE SHIELDS

Janice has over 40 years’ experience in the housing sector, spanning local authority and community-based housing organisations.
Janice holds a postgraduate degree in Housing Studies from the University of Glasgow, has undertaken further professional development in governance and finance and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH).
Janice has served on a number of charity boards across the care and housing sectors, bringing strong governance, strategic, and sector-specific expertise. Currently Director of Ruchazie Housing Association, a position she has held for over five years.

NILE ISTEPHAN
Joined November 2025
Member of Audit and Risk Sub-Committee from December 2025.
Nile has been CEO of Eildon Housing Association for 15 years. Nile has previously held senior positions in the Scottish Government, mainly focused on overseeing grant programmes for new build activity and spent some time working as a researcher at the Centre for Housing Research and Urban Studies.

ANTHONY TEASDALE
Joined November 2025
Member of Audit and Risk Sub-Committee from December 2025.
Tony has been Chief Executive of Shettleston Housing Association since 2017. He brings extensive leadership experience from across the housing sector, having previously served as Chief Executive of Rural Stirling Housing Association, Depute Director at Glasgow West Housing Association, and Performance Auditor within the Regulation and Inspection Division of Scottish Homes.
Tony also has a strong connection to Shettleston, having earlier worked with the organisation as Housing Manager.

 

GORDON ANDERSON
Joined November 2025
Gordon has worked with Key Housing Association since 1988 and currently serves as Director of Housing, Development & Corporate Services.
Given Key’s position as one of Scotland’s largest voluntary-sector providers of social care, he brings extensive experience across the full spectrum of Registered Social Landlord (RSL) and care-provider activities.
In addition to his long-standing leadership within Key, Gordon has contributed to the wider sector through board roles with both Viewpoint Housing Association and Cadder Housing Association.

 

MICHAEL CLARKE
Joined November 2025
Michael is a retired general member of the board who has experience supporting other Housing Association boards and Committees to achieve their objectives.
