Thenue Board member nominated for prestigious
Helen McGregor Award

HOUSING association stalwart Charlotte Levy has made the shortlist for a top Award.

Charlotte who is a member of the Board at Thenue Housing Association has become a finalist in the Helen McGregor Award – the winner of which will be announced later this year.

The late Helen McGregor was a founding member of Shettleston Housing Association and the organisation Employers in Voluntary Housing known as EVH now run it in her memory.
Wining the Award is widely regarded as a major accolade within the housing association movement.
The aim is to recognise the very important role that people like Helen play as a Committee or Board Member and their outstanding contribution to their communities without whom housing providers could not function.
Thenue Chief Executive Charles Turner said: “We are delighted that Charlotte has made the shortlist of the Award. Charlotte is a dedicated servant of the housing association movement and an inspiring individual who has devoted many years of her life to the voluntary sector.”
This year’s winner will receive a cash prize of £500 and an engraved trophy at EVH’s Annual Conference at Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club in Edinburgh in October 2015. Each finalist will also receive a commemorative trophy.
Charlotte has a 20-year involvement with Thenue which has seen her serve as Vice Chair and Chair of Thenue’s Management Committee – the forerunner of the current Board. Her distinguished service to the community has also included work with Crossroads Care and the East End Forum for Disability.
