We are delighted to have recently joined The Social Housing Safety Network Scotland. The Network is focused on sharing skills and knowledge in relation to our statutory obligations on tenant and resident safety.It also covers performance and evidencing of our compliance in this key area.
Phone Scam
We have been made aware of a company calling from an automated number beginning with 0333, claiming that they have been asked by the tenant’s Housing Officer to contact them. This is a scam please do not pass on any personal details to them.Tenants get boost as number of energy advisors TRIPLED
THENUE tenants have received a boost after we TRIPLED our number of energy advisors who are here to help YOUThe move couldn’t have come at a better time with sky high bills still putting pressure on household budgets.
We have created two new roles and these Energy Assistant positions have been filled by Evelyn Milligan and Tom Ucci.
Their appointments enhance the help available to customers in the often- complex field of energy issues.
Our new-look Energy Advice Team will also provide tailored in-depth energy advice and can work on tenants’ behalf to resolve energy issues with suppliers.
They join existing Energy Advisor Julie Broadley, who has been supporting you with energy advice over the past 3 years.
Gary Naylor, our Chief Executive, said: “The winter may be over but prices remain very high and while there are predictions of falling energy prices over the coming months, that is no consolation to those paying significant costs right now.

We want to take this opportunity to thank tenants for taking part in the recent rent consultation which comes to a close next week.Your views are crucial to the process of rent setting – something which will be decided upon at the next Board meeting on 7 February .
Since late November Thenue has been running our consultation to gather views on what the housing association is proposing for the period from April of this year to March next year.
Two special newsletters have been produced and three consultation meetings have taken place in Calton, Netherholm and most recently this Thursday at Cranhill.
The Association has been consulting on a five percent increase – currently around half the level of UK inflation which is at a forty year high.
Clearly, imposing a rent rise in line with inflation was out of the question due to the cost of living challenges being faced by so many people.

Rent Consultation Events - Tuesday 17th and Thursday 19th January 2023
We will be hosting a Rent Consultation event on Tuesday 17th January 2023 at 4.15pm in the Calton Heritage and Learning Centre on London Road and on Thursday 19th January 2023 at 3pm in the Netherholm Community Hall on Holmbyre Terrace, this event is open to all Thenue Tenants as your views and opinions are important to us.The event will be hosted by Ilene Campbell from the Tenants Information Service (TIS) and there will be presentations from our Chief Executive, Gary Naylor and our Director of Community Housing Services, Michael Byrne.
Please inform any of your family, friends, or neighbours who are Thenue Housing tenants about the event. The event will last about an hour.
