Tenants get boost as number of energy advisors TRIPLED

THENUE tenants have received a boost after we TRIPLED our number of energy advisors who are here to help YOU

The move couldn’t have come at a better time with sky high bills still putting pressure on household budgets.

We have created two new roles and these Energy Assistant positions have been filled by Evelyn Milligan and Tom Ucci.

Their appointments enhance the help available to customers in the often- complex field of energy issues.
Our new-look Energy Advice Team will also provide tailored in-depth energy advice and can work on tenants’ behalf to resolve energy issues with suppliers.

They join existing Energy Advisor Julie Broadley, who has been supporting you with energy advice over the past 3 years.
Gary Naylor, our Chief Executive, said: “The winter may be over but prices remain very high and while there are predictions of falling energy prices over the coming months, that is no consolation to those paying significant costs right now.

“Having three...

Thank You For Having Your Say

We want to take this opportunity to thank tenants for taking part in the recent rent consultation which comes to a close next week.

Your views are crucial to the process of rent setting – something which will be decided upon at the next Board meeting on 7 February .

Since late November Thenue has been running our consultation to gather views on what the housing association is proposing for the period from April of this year to March next year.

Two special newsletters have been produced and three consultation meetings have taken place in Calton, Netherholm and most recently this Thursday at Cranhill.

The Association has been consulting on a five percent increase – currently around half the level of UK inflation which is at a forty year high.

Clearly, imposing a rent rise in line with inflation was out of the question due to the cost of living challenges being faced by so many people.

But Thenue has to balance rising costs with what we think tenants can... Read more

Gas Servicing and Maintenance Contractor

Our Gas Servicing and Maintenance Contractor – City Technical Services (CTS) are experiencing a high volume of calls in relation to no heating/hot water and boiler breakdowns due to the current drop in temperature. They have advised that they are continuing to take calls, talk through possible fixes on the phones and are working through the priority calls and will get to all tenants as soon as possible. This may be outwith normal timescales and office hours as they are working extended hours to attend as many callouts as possible.

City Technical Services (CTS) have advised that the best way to prevent breakdowns & pipes freezing, which can lead to burst pipes is to leave the heating running between 16˚ -18˚ Degrees. This will help keep the property from becoming cold and prevent pipes from freezing.
